Coronavirus: Temperature and Median Age shows a trend for the Number of Cases


Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the world is facing unprecedented fear with no foreseeable end. However, the virus’s spread shows a trend with relation to the mean temperature and median age of the location. The following tables represent the correlation with these two variables and the number of cases present in the world.

Note: For the US, have only considered New York and assumed  for each country the temperature is constant throughout. Data considers  only the top 90 countries with cases.





Countries with a mean temperature ranging from 5°C to 15°C with a median age lying between 35 and 50 consist of above 75% of all recorded cases of the Coronavirus.
